Introduction to Applications
"Fujitsu Service Robot (enon)" differs from specialized robots such as transportation robots, cleaning robots, and surveillance robots, and is a cutting edge robot in a single unit that is able to serve in multiple applications, including providing guide information, assistance, transporting items, patrolling, and surveillance.
1. Information and Assistance
"Fujitsu Service Robot (enon)" is both able to detect the presence of approaching customers and provide various information
about products, etc. to those customers, as well as being able to physically guide customers to designated locations, and
so can be used for work such as providing reception information and as a guide that can describe items that are on display.
Furthermore, the touch panel LCD screen is able to provide easy to understand information using a variety of images in addition
to speech. The monitor can also be used to conduct surveys and to collect customer information by operating in conjunction
with a server.

2. Transport
Packages can be placed in the space in the torso, and delivered to a specified location. Furthermore, by operating while linked to a network, "Fujitsu Service Robot (enon)" can be summoned from a remote location and can carry items to a specified location.

3. Patrolling and Surveillance
"Fujitsu Service Robot (enon)" is able to periodically patrol the inside of a facility, in accordance with a predefined path and to transmit video information captured from specified locations to a remote surveillance center via the network. Instructions can also be given via the network as needed, with the flexibility to perform unscheduled surveillance operations such as being sent to view the conditions at a specified location.
